State Building Group is proposing a 42-storey condominium tower at 316 Bloor Street West at Madison Avenue near Spadina Subway Station. The 535-unit building is designed by Kirkor Architects and Planners with landscaping by NAK Design Strategies.
Over the past few years, the streets of Toronto have been drastically remodelled as densification is bringing more residential and retail spaces downtown and beyond. Transit being a major booster for developments, areas along and around subway stations and streetcar lines are considered as prime locations to accommodate new buildings. An intersection such as Bloor and Spadina, where lines 1 and 2 meet the Spadina streetcar loop—all relatively close to the downtown core—has a strong potential for potential condominium projects.
